Outdoor Fall Activities

Corn Mazes

A lot of small towns create added charm during the fall by crafting corn mazes. These corn cut paths make for a great way to walk your dog while also being something that you can enjoy. Most of the time, corn mazes will also include a pumpkin patch where you can pick out your favorite shape and size. You could even cut a little piece out from the inside as a healthy snack for your furry friend. Your dog will love it! Pumpkin is an excellent source of fiber and is full of antioxidants & vitamins.

Apple Orchard

Finding a local apple orchard is another dog friendly activity in the fall. Apple picking along with walking the orchard keeps your pet exercising while also enjoying some cuts of apple. Apples are a great source of Vitamin A & C and are full of fiber. Did you know that our Ultimates Grain-Free recipes also contain apples?!

That being said, make sure your pup doesn’t eat the whole apple. According to the AKC, the seeds contain a small amount of cyanide, a toxin that can harm your dog in large doses. The tough apple core and the stem could also choke your dog.

Hike

With the temperature dropping during autumn, going for a hike is a desirable activity during this season. Hiking allows you to take in the color changing leaves and crisp air while also exercising your dog. Be sure to protect your dog for fleas and ticks and check their fur after your hike.

Backyard Fun

Friendly fall activities can happen even in your own backyard! Try raking up some fall leaves and jumping in them with your dog. Create some fun obstacles for running and jumping too! Use some dog treats to entice your dog while playing.

Indoor Fall Activities

Movies

What better way to spend a Saturday night than cuddled up on the couch, eating some snacks and watching a scary movie with your pup? Their warm company will make it less spooky!

Halloween Costume

Halloween is a fun part of the fall season. Cute costumes and yummy treats are just what your pup needs! Try creating your own DIY costume for your dog. Some easy ones are a ghost, pineapple, strawberry, barista, and shower loofah!

Baking Time

Another at-home activity for dogs is baking! YES! You can make your own doggie desserts at home. Simple ingredients is the key to DIY dog treats. You can check out this delicious recipe to peanut butter & pumpkin dog treats on AllRecipes.com.
